"How can your corporation improve the quality of your entry-level candidates, market to a wide audience of qualified students, and save money at the same time?"
THE PROGRAM:
College to Career Guidance Seminars trains students how to prepare themselves as PRIME CANDIDATES for entry-level positions in the world of business.
The intense, interactive seminars, conducted by Laurence Stuart, motivational speaker and author of the training workbook, “How to get the job you want!” teaches students the realities of the workplace. The seminars give them the "soft skills", techniques, and practical applications to focus their energies and talents as they prepare to enter the workforce.
Corporate sponsors benefit from the program in three KEY areas:
1. Direct contact with students looking to enter the workplace who are trained and prepared to intelligently and legitimately present themselves as PRIME CANDIDATES for positions with major corporations in targeted industries.
2. Through the CAP program, the opportunity to pre-qualify applicants and learn about their wants, needs, and desires before a formal interview session, saving time and money.
3. Reach a collegiate audience across many campuses and states, thereby broadening their recruitment scope and talent pool.
HOW DOES THE PROGRAM WORK?
College to Career Guidance Seminars (CCGS) coordinates the entire program!
* Establishment of the seminar on any given university campus
* Recruitment of students into the seminars
* Coordination of resumes, “application questionnaires”, and student profiles for submission to our corporate sponsors.
ONE
Corporate sponsors select the specific campus sites they would like to sponsor and recruit from.
TWO
Seminar dates are established at the chosen locations through Career Services and/or the deans of the specific colleges, such as engineering and business.
THREE
CCGS coordinates a taped video greeting by a representative of the sponsoring company to be included on the CD. Access is available from the CD directly to the sponsor’s website. A customized “application questionnaire” from each company is included on the CD.
FOUR
Each student attending the seminar will receive a FREE cd copy of the book, “How to get the job you want!”. The cover of the book will be customized to pay tribute to the sponsors for bringing the seminar to the university.
FIVE
At the end of each seminar, students are encouraged to complete the Career Application Program (CAP) for each sponsoring company, along with their resume and any other information they believe will establish them as a Prime Candidate to secure a position with your company. This information is coordinated through the campus Career Service Center.
