Our comprehensive program is based on the book, “How to get the job You Want!” authored by the founder of College to Career Guidance Seminars, Laurence Stuart.  As a seasoned professional from the corporate world, he has walked the walk and talked the talk!

Stuart spent 40 years in corporate America, starting as an assistant to the assistant in an advertising department of a manufacturing firm and rose to positions of Senior Vice President of Marketing for several major companies, such as WEMCO, INC., Hart Schaffner Marx, retail division, Herberger’s, a division of SAKS, Inc., BELK, Inc., a department store group.  He was President of Christian Dior Neckwear, a division of Warnaco, and CEO of The Whitesands Marketing Group.

A sought-after motivational public speaker, Stuart has instructed and entertained group seminars across the country on topics such as “How to Sell,” “Looking on the Bright Side,” “Lord, It’s Hard to be Humble,” and this seminar course, “How to Get the Job YOU Want!" a student career preparation program.

Stuart has been where you are now, and has achieved success in his own right.  He has risen through the ranks of all executive levels and has come from many areas of business, such as marketing, retail, manufacturing, finance, advertising, and entrepreneurial enterprises.

Over the years, Stuart has interviewed, selected, and hired thousands of team members from the collegiate ranks to meet the objectives of his particular organizations. He understands and has experienced the pitfalls and mistakes that young graduates make as they interview with corporations.
